Misha D’Souza, RCC
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 10 years of experience in the public health sector, I specialize in helping children, youth, and adults navigate anxiety, OCD, and related challenges using evidence-based, compassionate care. While I have a particular passion and expertise in working with children and adolescents, I welcome clients of all ages and tailor therapy to each individual's unique needs, strengths, and goals.
My areas of practice include Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety, chronic worry, panic attacks, perfectionism, phobias, depression, trauma, stress, and body-focused repetitive behaviours such as hair pulling and skin picking. I draw from evidence-based therapies, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed approaches. My goal is to help clients move beyond fear, build resilience, embrace uncertainty with confidence, and reconnect with the life they want to live.
I hold a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria, a Bachelor of Education from Simon Fraser University, and a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. I have completed advanced training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) through the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania, and I am an active member of the International OCD Foundation. I provide virtual counselling throughout British Columbia, making specialized care accessible wherever you are.
